I am a freelance photographer based in Liverpool City Centre working across the UK. I shoot portraiture, documentary and lifestyle images which can be anything from album artwork for record labels to food photography for restaurants, fashion photography, event coverage, live music, record covers, school prospectuses and websites, architecture and interiors on a hugely varied amount of projects for a wide range of clients.
I found photography 16 years ago while studying fashion design at college and spent far more time in the darkroom than in the pattern cutting room. I began photographing fashion collections, portraits and streets on black and white film and decided that photography was much more my thing than sewing. I recently completed a Masters in 'Fashion Innovation and Realisation' at LJMU writing my dissertation 'An Exploration of Fashion Advertising and its Reliance on Fine Art Photographic Practices' and furthering my personal understanding of photography.
I am also one third of 'Next Stop New York', a project investigating the huge impact that Black American music has had on the city of Liverpool and its people, and how it continues to do so to this day. My role see's me taking portraits, documentary images, researching and filming interviews as well as archiving images and ephemera from numerous contributors.
